Does using a Image Master Alternative cartridge invalidate my Printer Warranty?

Afic operates a no-quibble warranty policy and fuller detail can be found in Warranty Clarification. 

The statement below can actually be found in some HP manuals.

The use of a non-HP or refilled print cartridge alone does not affect either the warranty or any maintenance contract that may have been purchased. However, if a HP LaserJet series printer failure or damage is found to be attributable directly to the use of a non-HP print cartridge, HP will not repair the printer free-of-charge. In this case, standard time and materials charges will be applied to service the printer for that particular failure or damage. Operation of the printer beyond the limit of its duty cycle (printing greater than the equivalent of 100,000 single-sided pages per month) shall be deemed printer abuse and all repairs thereafter will be billed on a time and materials basis. If a mechanical switch box is being used, ensure that it is equipped with a surge protector. Damage to the printer could occur from the use of unprotected mechanical switch boxes.

What if a Cartridge Has Damaged a Printer?

Subject to procedure being followed, if it was proven that our cartridge had damaged the printer then Afic would make good that damage.
 
Such serious damage could only ever happen if there was serious toner spillage, and toner spillage to ruin a printer is probably as likely from an OEM cartridge as it is from a Image Master Alternative one. i.e. very low.
 
(OEM cartridges can give problems as well)

Printers can be temperamental – just the paper not picking up or jamming can invoke a user call, or the fact that the network is not picking it up  – it would be very rare that the actual use of an Image Master Alternative cartridge versus oem is the cause of these normal calls (because the Image Master Alternative cartridge has been built to perform exactly the same and more than the oem)

Our quality standards we believe give us a much lower failure rate than OEM. 

What about working with on-site maintenance companies?

AFIC will work openly with any other party to ensure customer satisfaction and as stated we will make good any damage caused by our products. We can agree the procedures with any other party to work with them to the benefit of the customer. The fact that there is a Image Master Alternative cartridge in the machine cannot invalidate the actual warranty which they are supporting.

Why are AFIC cartridges “Environmentally Friendly”?

Because the very nature of our manufacturing process, in the case of a toner cartridge for example, is that the process re-uses the plastic cartridge from a previously once used cartridge. All other print-critical parts are replaced new)

This process has prevented the disposal of plastic to landfill.

Using just one of our Image Master Alternative toner cartridges prevents the disposal of 2.5 lbs of plastic to landfill.
